The Philippine Travel Exchange (PHITEX) 2021 is now in full swing as a hybrid event for the second straight year amidst the pandemic. Spearheaded by the Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) Philippines, the marketing and promotions arm of the Department of Tourism (DOT), PHITEX goes online and onsite at the ACEA Subic Beach Resort in the Subic Bay Freeport Zone from September 20-23 with the theme “Beyond Business: Co-creating Safe, Smart, and Sustainable Tourism”.
On December 15, 2020, the province of Bohol officially reopened to local tourists after months of closure and travel restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Along with the reopening of tourism are the new travel requirements and guidelines for tourists. One of the travel requirements for tourists who enter Bohol is to pre-book their accommodations at a resort or hotel that is accredited by the Department of Tourist (DOT) and LGU of Bohol.
Another good news for local travelers! Domestic tourists who wish to travel for tourism purposes can avail of the subsidized RT-PCR test at PCMC (Philippine Children’s Medical Center) for PhP750 only.

President Duterte has put Boracay under state of calamity due to worsening environmental issues.
