Pinterest: Finding my Travel Pinspirations

Whenever I share photos of new places I've visited around the Philippines on my social media accounts, I would always get questions from friends asking me how I got to know that particular place. As a travel blogger, I also get the same thing from some of my readers and followers. Basically some people don't have any idea something amazing in the country exists until I post them online.

Aside from following my favorite travel blogs, I get some ideas of new must-see destinations by using Pinterest. For social media newbies, Pinterest is a visual bookmarking tool that helps you discover and save creative ideas. You can "pin" things to your own web boards about any topic. For example, I have a friend who use Pinterest to find her inspirations for her upcoming wedding. Another uses it to showcase her passion for fashion. In my case, I use Pinterest for my travel "Pinspirations".

Yes, Pinterest has been a great tool for me to discover new places I otherwise wouldn't have known. Every time I see photos about a new location that interest me, I would pin them on my Places I want to visit board. It works like my travel dream board where I save my travel inspirations. Another board I'm following, which is I'm one of the content curators, is Philippines that contains great imagery about the Philippines from various pinners.

And if you've been my loyal followers, you know how I love sharing photos of the most beautiful beaches in the Philippines. Which is why I've created my own Pinterest board too, showing some of the best beaches I've been to!

Aside from white sand beaches, I also have a board containing my photos of interesting travel spots around the Philippines such as the mountains, waterfalls, lagoons, sunsets and more.

You can follow me on Pinterest, and just like how I learned these amazing local attractions, I'm hoping to share them with you so you will get some ideas of which Philippine destinations to put in your bucket list.

In case you're not on Pinterest yet, you can create an account now by signing up here. By the way, this invite link is limited to a few registrations only so sign up now!
